Live, Laugh, Love.
With having my family over for a farewell gathering yesterday, the day FLEW by. So To make up for yesterday I have a nice long post for yah today
Coming from a large family spending time with those I love is absolutely a big part of my life, and now that I will be living over 30 hours (drive time) away from them all; the last two days have been so special.
So Thursday nights farewell dinner with our good friends Gordy, Nina, Steph, and Adam, was spectacular! Although Steph was feeling sick and Adam and Steph had to leave early, it was so great to have the six of us together for a while.
For dinner I ordered a burger with no bun and sweet potato fries. I did not snap a picture, but it was delightfully tasty! I am not a big fan of sweet potato fries, but these were exceptionally good! I would recommend for sure!! After we ate dinner at Joe’s Garage, a lovely restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, we played in the Loring Park fountain for “good times” sake
Above is Nina and I doing our ‘Charlies Angesl’ pose.
Arthur and Gordy bromance! Cool looking pic huh?
Then it was off to bed so we could get up early and get ready for our farewell party the next day.
I woke up and ran down to the gym to get in my very quick workout before I headed down to the grocery store to prep for the party. I am telling you! Never walk to the grocery store when shopping for an event!! I of course got a bit much and my arms and shoulders were excruciatingly sore by the time I got back with all of it!
I was starved when I got back and since I had all new groceries, I tried out my new Vanilla Granola Cereal with almond milk. I also made myself an iced coffee with almond milk as well. Nom nom nom!
Then I was off to get ready for the party!
A lot of my guests called and said they were on their way early, thus the reason I did not have time to get in my blog writing. It was a beautiful day, and I was so happy to see everyone! Including my little niece and nephew who had a blast jumping around on the furniture.
Aren’t they adorable?
Arthur got to the party later on after he worked and we all enjoyed each others company well into the evening.
I must also brag just a bit about the farewell gifts I received! They were all so thoughtful!
My cousin Kristen bought me a genuine Coach Purse for my new life in Cali! Nina and Gordy got Arthur and I a framed picture of us to put up in our new home. I love it! And my dear little sister Madeleine brought my a bracelet and a notebook to record my new journeys and life experiences to send back to her once it is full. She is going to fill up a notebook as well recording everything that I miss back home. Is that not the sweetest idea ever?
