Post Thanksgiving

Well…I did it! I made my first ever, full Thanksgiving meal all on my own! It was a lot of work, but I am pretty proud of myself :)

Arthur, Percy, and I enjoyed making our own Thanksgiving traditions, and while the Turkey cooked we played :)

Percy got his hair cut for the holiday, isn’t he just the cutest? :)

It was hard for me to have Thanksgiving in California, though, I must admit. Waking up to a bright and sunny 82 degree day just didn’t feel like Thanksgiving at all. So we closed all the shades and turned on the fireplace to make our home feel more festive.

The food was delicious! We had all the usual food contendents, turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy, stuffing, and cranberries. Let me just say, we were stuffed!

A little later on we had some raspberry swirl cheesecake, and friends I have to say it: OMG! I can make a mean cheesecake ;) Luckily it was just our small little family eating, so we will have plenty of leftovers! That’s A-Okay by me!

After Thanksgiving dinner, we pulled on the PJ’s, popped in a movie, and were soon fast asleep :)

Today I woke up and got to work taking down the fall decorations, and put up about half of the Christmas decorations!!

I put up the lights and garland…

And decorated with all my other Christmas accent decor. Another week and we will have the rest of the decor and the Christmas tree up! I am so excited :)

After cleaning up and decorating (all while watching Elf, and Deck the Halls), my tummy started to grumble so I put together a plate of Thanksgiving leftovers…of course ;)

Just as delicious as it was yesterday :) I took a short nap after eating, and then jumped up and got to work on burning off those carbs.

Here is a GREAT workout for burning off those extra carbs we all may have consumed over the Holiday, and to make you feel slimmer in your jeans.

I am done with the workout, and now Arthur and I are going to enjoy the rest of our day at home and avoiding the crazy Black Friday shopping/traffic!!

Have a wonderful Friday HHC Readers, and let me know what you think of the workout, and be sure to check in over the weekend for my Thanksgiving Leftover Recipe!

Question of the Day:

What is your favorite leftover Thanksgiving recipe? I would love some ideas!
