Needless To Say

As you all may notice, HHC has been going through some very amazing changes and we are all working hard to get it finished! November will be a big month! I am very excited to see all the positive updates and I look forward to letting you all in on the new and exciting programs we will be undergoing starting next month! In the meantime, thank you for your patience!

Today’s HHC Health & Wellness Topic of the Day (TOTD) hold a few tips we all should know about living a healthy life! But before I dive in here is the weekend re-cap!

MANY folks celebrated Halloween over the weekend being that Halloween happens to fall on a week day this year. So Arthur and I had a lot of fun costume watching! The complex we live in threw a big Halloween party down by the pool, so our neighborhood was crawling with spooks!

Since we plan to celebrate Halloween with my brother on the actual holiday this week, we stayed home and prepped for our awesome visitor! On Saturday we both got up early and did some work to make our schedule a little more flexible this week. We really want to have time to show Richard around! I put together some client packages, answered a ton of emails, and of course brainstormed HHC updates. After catching up on work, I made some candy corn, popcorn clusters for a yummy halloween snack :)

Yesterday, I prepped for tonights homemade pizza (recipe to come!), and then Arthur and I made some popcorn and cuddled up to 2 scary movies to set the mood ;) We watched ‘Friday the Thirteenth’, and ‘Cloverfield’. The first one scared the begeez out of us, and the second one is a real “on-the-edge-of-your-seat” kinda movie! Phew! Needless to say we threw on a comedy before we called it a night ;)

OK! On to the health tips I promised! Check out today on October’s Health & Wellness Calendar, see what it says?

Did you know that when you feel thirsty you are already partially dehydrated? Our bodies are made up of 60% water, and in order to keep a healthy balance of bodily fluids, a person must consume their own body weight in water every single day. Do this to maintain a healthy level of the bodies most important functions; digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

Sufficient water consumption can help control body weight! This one is for all your dieters out there, fill up on water before you eat! Water can actually make you feel full, faster, and what an easy way to lower calorie in-take ;)

Want healthy beautiful skin? Healthy Muscles? Healthy Bowel movements? Water is the key to all of it. Cells that don’t maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can result in muscle fatigue. When you workout, it is important to remember to drink at least 17oz. of water throughout the entire session. Water will also work to prevent wrinkles by keeping your skin from drying out.

Ultimately, water is the most important thing on this planet to a persons health, and I think that it can be so easy to forget that! So drink an extra 8oz. today and let me know how you feel!
